Lewes Yacht Club offers a heated outdoor pool to our members and their guests.  Our swim
team practices during the summer season is available to members and non-members
children.  Morning water aerobics are fun and healthy. Beautiful views of the Delaware Bay
and the Inlet can be seen from the pool deck.

LYC Pool
The Lewes Yacht Club offers swimming lessons and water aerobics, in addition to a
wonderful Swim Team as well as recreational swimming in our large heated swimming
pool, plus fun for the little ones in the wading pool.

Our pool deck has a great view of the Delaware Bay and the Roosevelt Inlet.  We have
two pools that have been refurbished. Our large pool holds 167,000 gallons of water
and it is heated. Our other pool is a wadding pool for our younger members to enjoy.

  • All members must sign-in each day.
  • Please be prepared to show your member ID card when you arrive at the gate.
  • Members are NOT to give their guest their LYC member number.
  • The member must be present to sign and pay for their guests at the pool.
  • Members and guest are not allowed to use the pool during swim team practice
    and swim team meets. Sun bathing and lounging on the deck is permitted during
    swim team practice.  The pool deck will be cleared for 5 minutes prior to the open
    swim, Monday through Friday, during the swim team season.  All sunbathers will
    be asked to sign-in.
  • Pool Parties:  Can be scheduled by members after pool hours, between 7PM
    and 10PM, Saturday through Thursday, and when no other LYC events are
    scheduled.  Please see the pool manager for details.

Pool Guest Fees:
  • A member must pay $4.00 admission at the gate for each guest.
  • Guests under two years of age are free.
  • By LYC Rules, no member may entertain more than 8 (eight) guests at any one
    time and no individual may be a guest more than 6 (six) times in a season
  • Members must accompany their guests.

Water Aerobics:
Aquacize is offered 7 days per week from June through Labor Day and as weather
permits until the pool closes in late September.

Fees are as follows:
  • Members $4.00 per session
  • Non-members $6.00 per session

Swim Lessons:
We have private swimming lessons for our member’s children.
Lessons are $ 20.00 for a half-hour. See the Pool Manager or one of the Lifeguards to
make arrangements.
During the private swimming lessons the pool remains open.

Members, please avoid the shallow area near the lap lanes. This area is designated for
swimming lessons.
