ABOUT YOUR DINING CARDS

This year swipe cards will replace the coupons of the past, providing greater flexibility for you and your family

• $300.00 (the cost of the dining minimum paid with your annual dues) will be initially placed in your LYC account at the beginning of each calendar year.
• The same cards will continue to be used every year so do not discard them!
• On Dec. 31st the unspent portion of the $300.00 minimum expires.
• For your convenience, you may add additional money to your account. Of this money, any not spent will not expire but be carried over to the following year.
• Additional money that you may add is for your convenience and is separate from the YEARLY minimum charges.
• Regardless of the balance carried over from additional money added to the card, the minimum fee will appear on your dues bill for the following year and must be paid.

The minimum cards (swipe cards) may only be used to purchase:

  • • Food, drink and gratuities for such service, served by the club and consumed on the club premises during any club activity except for the host’s cost of a catered event.
    • Individual meals packaged for take out at club activities may be purchased using the minimum cards.

You may purchase additional cards for members within the membership household.

  • • There is a $5.00 fee for each additional card.
    • All cards from a membership will debit from the same account.

Your card is protected from loss.

  • • The card will be invalidated as soon as it is reported lost.
    • All cards associated with a membership (additional cards requested and issued for family members) will be also invalidated with the reported loss of any card.
    • The membership number will not be changed on the replacement card(s) but the replaced card(s) will be encoded with a new account number.
    • A $5.00 fee will be charged for each card replaced.
    • Please note: If there are 4 cards issued to a membership and 1 is lost, the remaining 3 cards will also become invalid and must be brought to the club to be encoded with the new account number (Not Member Number!)
    • All cards must be encoded before they are once more usable.
    • Additional cards may be requested from Adrienne by calling the clubhouse or by emailing her at clubhouse@lewesyc.com
    • All minimum cards must be picked up and signed for with your member number at the ready. They are available anytime the clubhouse is open.

Reservation Policy

Some members are frustrated because they cannot get a reservation at their desired time,
or they cannot get a table near a window, or they arrive without a reservation and cannot get a table -
But! - There are many empty tables – So, why can’t I get a table, or why can’t I get the table I want??
So, we want to clarify our reservation policy:

  • First, you may make reservations 2 weeks in advance. If you request a window table, we will do our best to accommodate you – the earlier you make your reservation, the better your chances of getting the table you want, when you want it!
  • Each table will have a 1-½ hour time limit, however, if you desire more time we will try to accommodate you (Our observations show that 90% of our members spend no more than 1-½ hours at a table). Larger tables of 8 or more will have a 2-hour time limit, but if you request more time, again we will do our best to accommodate you.
  • We will try to make each table available for two or three seatings a night – that is – a table might have 5:00, 6:30, and 8:00 times available. Another might have 5:30, 7:00 and 8:30 times available – We stagger our seatings to insure our kitchen can accommodate your orders without unnecessary delay.

In short, we want your every dining experience to be memorable. With our exceptional menu and very reasonable prices, we will do our best to make the Lewes Yacht Club your number one choice for you, your family and friends – please come join us!

Care for a little Wine to go?

Did you know that our liquor license allows us to sell beer, wine and spirits to go? As a service to our members, you can order a case of your favorite alcoholic beverage for consumption off the premises. Prices are considerably lower than our already low restaurant prices and you can usually pick up your order within a week.

Just check with the staff for availability and pricing.
