Location:
The Lewes Yacht Club is located in scenic and historic Lewes Delaware at the mouth of the Delaware Bay. We are convenient to the Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia areas - travel time by car is approximately 2 ½ hours. The Lewes area offers guests a wide array of entertainment options including; beautiful beaches, State parks and natural areas, fishing, golf, historic venues, tax-free shopping, fine restaurants, hotels and more.

Availability:
The Lewes Yacht Club is available for private parties for our members and their guests during the Spring, Fall and Winter months from Labor Day to Memorial Day weekend – non-inclusive.

Beverage Options:
  • Host sponsored Open bar based on consumption – based on a per drink basis. A running tab is kept and settled at the end of the event.
  • Host sponsored Open bar – based on a set price per individual per hour, Includes house brand liquors, draught and domestic beer, wines and sodas
  • Host Sponsored Premium Open Bar – based on a set price per individual per hour, Include premium and house brand liquors, domestic and imported beers, wines and sodas
  • Host Sponsored Beer, Wine and Soda Bar - based on a set price per individual per hour, Includes domestic and draught beers, house wines and soda
  • Cash Bar – Drinks are paid for by each guest, not the host
Menu selection:
The Lewes Yacht Club offers a wide variety of menu selections and service options suitable for weddings, holiday parties, brunches, business meetings, special receptions and more. Our experienced staff is dedicated to working with you to prepare a menu to your specifications, and to make your special event memorable. Prices are based on market fluctuation and the number of guests guaranteed for your event. We will be pleased to provide you an estimated cost at any time with a firm quote 60 days prior to your event.


The Lewes Yacht Club (LYC) was founded in 1932. LYC has a beautiful location. It is situated at the mouth of the Delaware Bay, which feeds into the Atlantic Ocean. To the west is the Broadkill River and the Coast Guard station. To the south is the town of Lewes, the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal and the University of Delaware College of Marine Studies.

Lewes, Delaware is known as the first town in the first state. Delaware patriot Caesar Rodney was the first to sign the Constitution, making Delaware the first state. Lewes, the first settlement in the state, was founded by Dutch pioneers in 1631. The town of Lewes offers pleasant, year-round living, good fishing, entertainment and shopping. It is becoming a center for the arts on the Delmarva peninsula, it has good public docking facilities and many interesting, historic sights.
