The mission of the Lewes Yacht Club is to serve our members and their families in their enjoyment of the beach, the bay and our Club facilities
while supporting the diversity of our membership, the informality of our activities and our respect for one another.
Relying on the principles of volunteerism, ours is a club of committees overseeing the day to day operations of the Club in a prudent manner.

- Saturday May 24: The Big Day
- New Member Orientation Starting at 3:00 pm – all members encouraged to attend!
- 5:00 pm: Official opening of LYC for 2008 Summer Season.
- Raising of the LYC Flag, Cannon firing and a champagne toast
- Immediately following is our New Member Dinner Buffet. Free to adult
- The Pool will be upon for all the family to enjoy.
- 9:00 am till: US Coast Guard Auxiliary Courtesy Boat Inspections – details below.
- 9:00 am till: Nautical/Beach Flea Market. Buy, Sell, Trade – details below
- 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm: All Day Chicken and Ribs Barbeque
- $18.95 adults, $9.95 children. Eat All Day Long for one Great Price!
- 1:00 pm: On the Beach for Sail Boat, Windsurfing and Surf Fishing demonstrations. Rod and Reel Combo prize for kids 16 and under!
We hope to see you there. All New Members attending the New Member Orientation will receive a free gift and tickets for the dinner buffet for adult members and a coupon for 10% off the Quarterdeck shop. You do not want to miss this event. This is your club! Come and Enjoy!

- We are still accepting LYC members for the swim team, but please don’t delay in getting your registration forms in!

- The Marina is now open for business –
- May hours are: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 4pm.
- Sunday, May 25th – Marine Events Day:
- 9am - Boat Safety Inspections by U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Indian River Squadron (and get a 2008 safety sticker for your boat!)
- Boating Information Booth
- 9am - Nautical/Beach Flea Market – Rods, reels, tackle, boating accessories, beach umbrellas, chairs, floats - anything with a boating, fishing, beaching theme is welcome
- 12-7pm - All Day Chicken/Ribs Barbeque
- 1pm - Sailboat/Windsurfer Rigging & Surf Fishing Demonstrations
