LYC Board of Directors
The Lewes Yacht Club Board of Directors consists of 5 Officers and 9 Directors.
Officers are elected to serve a one year term and Directors are elected for 3 year terms,
staggered so that no more than 1/3 expire each year.
Our Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis and the meetings are open to our LYC
Membership. The board meeting schedule is posted each year with the meetings
typically held the third Sunday of the month. The monthly Meeting Minutes, as well as
our By-laws and Calendar can be found on our member's website.
Committee Chairpersons are appointed by our Commodore. There are 10 formal
committees and several other important ad-hoc committees that keep our club running
efficiently.
We are a largely volunteer run organization with dedicated members who sacrifice their
time to ensure the success of the club. We encourage all of our members to volunteer
and participate in their club committees and activities.
