Our club is governed by an elected Board of Directors. Committee members are
appointed by our commodore. We are a largely volunteer run organization with
dedicated members who sacrifice their time to ensure the club runs efficiently.
We encourage all of our members to volunteer and participate in the club activities. It's
a great way to become involved and meet other members.

LYC MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Lewes Yacht Club is to serve our members and their families in their enjoyment of
the beach, the bay and our Club facilities while supporting the diversity of our membership, the
informality of our activities and our respect for one another. Relying on the principles of volunteerism,
ours is a club of committees overseeing the day to day operations of the Club in a prudent manner.

- LYC’s year-round Clubhouse offers casual dining inside or outside. The large
Club Dining Room extends into the Burgee Bar and outside to the Upper Deck.
From any window, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Delaware Bay. Unwind
after work or simply enjoy the wonderful cuisine and friendly atmosphere.
Our Regatta Room and Squid Bar, located on the first floor, are available for
smaller gatherings or meetings.
The Pool Snack Bar offers a quick bite with additional outside seating and
convenience to the pool area.
Sailing
- Recreational sailing, racing, and regattas are all an essential part of the Lewes
Yacht Club. Whether participating or observing, our members truly enjoy the
Delaware Bay.
- Our Sailing Instruction Programs are staffed by certified, experienced
instructors. Adult Instruction and Youth Sailing Camps are offered throughout the
summer.
Marina
- Our beautiful, state of the art Marina with launch ramp is open to our members
with full Dock Master support from early spring to late fall. The Marina is
equipped with utilities, fuel and bait services. Seasonal as well as temporary
dockage is available to our members and transient boaters.
- LYC members enjoy our heated swimming pool with a separate wading pool for
our younger members. During the summer season the pool is staffed with
lifeguards. We also offer morning water aerobics, a Youth Swim Team, and
private swim lessons.
